From 26 June 2021, community rehabilitation company contracts are ending. A new Probation Service will be responsible for managing all those on a community order or licence following their release from prison in England and Wales from this date.
Unpaid work, accredited programmes, structured interventions and senior attendance centres will also be managed by the new Probation Service.
Probation rehabilitation services
New contracts to provide services to people on probation will also start. The services include:
- Accommodation support
- Personal wellbeing and support
- Education, Training and Employment
- Women’s Services
The Ministry of Justice has awarded Interventions Alliance, our parent company, two of these new contracts for the region.
Are you on probation?
Your supervision will move over to the new Probation Service from this date. You will have the same probation practitioner, but you might need to report to a different building. We will talk to you about these changes and confirm how they affect you.
